Hot Damn Damn

In my twelve years of violin training (I still suck, regardless), I used to think the idea of quartets improvising with stringed instruments was the most mesmerizing form of extemporization. During my teenage years, Led Zeppelin and Tori Amos were the archetypes for my standard of musical composition. Now, technology and twenty plus years has brought me to a point where I can watch four Parisian DJs feed off of one another with their turntables in absolute awe.



In 2002, Birdy Nam Nam took the title of best DJ Team around the globe at the annual DMC World DJ Championships. Sponsored by Technics and Ortofon, the competition started as a DJ mixing battle in 1986 and has grown to gargantuan proportions.
