Master Blaster Bater



One half Death From Above 1979 (bassist Jesse F. Keeler) paired with the band's producer, Al-P, equals MSTRKRFT, a Toronto two-piece that separates itself from the thick bass/drum driven pairing of DFA1979's sound. More disco-fueled, the band - pronounced "Masterkraft" - will be releasing their debut album, The Looks on July 18th. While the album itself is a good run on the stereo, I imagine that seeing them in live in a cramped, sweaty setting would provide the most zen-like sexual experience that these two can offer. Much like Eagles Of Death Metal's more recent direction, The Looks is full of everything from sexual innuendos to downright explicit. Daft Punk with a boner, I say.
