One Sox, Two Sox, Red Sox, Blue Sox

Living in Boston for nearly eight months now, tonight was my first attendance at a Red Sox game. I live not far from Fenway Park as it is, and have gone to many a-shows at Avalon, but never had I entered into the depths of the "Green Monstah" myself.

Breaking a 68 year-old record, Mr. "Big Papi" Ortiz (I'm too tired to go google his first name) scored not one but two home runs, breaking and surpassing the record of 50 home runs by one player within a Red Sox season. Hot stuff. I was very skeptical pulling up to Fenway to meet with my co-worker, being my moody self wearing mostly black and lugging my track bike over my shoulder (go ahead, call me names). It was that damn WAVE that won me over. I think it went 'round about five times, and I couldn't stop laughing. During the second half of the game I had smiles of pure, unaware joy on my face, and was laughing like a child in a ball pit.

So this is what I've been missing out, eh Boston? Not bad at all. I could get into this.

Well, okay, not that into it. I may be an expat, but I am a New Yorker.

So that's all for now. No music news. Something special coming your way tomorrow. Otherwise, you should be listening to Divsion Day. And NKOTB's greatest hits. Don't ask, just do!

Over and out,
OC

P.S. Boston, it is important that you know about this, just cause...

This is how it starts, I just want you to know. Red Sox nation has a banner that reads... Welcome to hell.

At least you aren't turning into an Orioles fan. That would be just plain silly.

I did see that on ESPN last night Dany. Quite a statement made by that group protest! Not since Art Model have I seen sports rage like that. People even had t-shirts made up!

BTW - I was just stirring the pot and shaking the hive! I really don't have anything against the Orioles.

(To make things better I think they may have sacrified second baseman Brian Roberts to a volcano.)

But maybe one day, i can take you to a real baseball game. There is nothing in the wold more exciting that being at Yankee stadium, the New York fans sure know how to PUMP UP THE NOISE!!!!

the yankees are overrated old farts that any real baseball fan would never touch.

That much we can agree on Dany.

(Old and silly. I have never seen such babies as I have the last few years with the Yankees not winning every single World Championships.)
